Ballards LLP is a firm of Chartered Accountants which also supports clients with their recruitment. We are currently supporting a charitable organisation looking to recruit a high performing, part time Finance Business Partner to work in their Thames Valley head office. This charity specialises in helping adults with learning difficulties. This truly is a unique opportunity to join a charity with a fantastic reputation locally and nationally, in a senior finance capacity and make a real difference to the shape of the business long term. As Finance Business Partner you will have excellent communication skills, be commercially driven, have an awareness of new technologies and be either CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified. Finance Business Partner Responsibilities: Oversee production of timely monthly management information including management accounts, forecasts and reports required for the bi-monthly trustee meetings. Production of annual budgets including holding annual budget meetings with respective budget holders. Thereafter, to monitor and control performance against budget and investigate variances. Production of statutory accounts for three legal entities through collaborative working with external auditors. Responsible for overall cash management and purchasing/invoicing processes. Oversee two monthly payrolls, including monitoring of monthly payroll reports. Responsible for all Corporation Tax, PAYE/NI, VAT and HMRC regulatory matters and returns. Ensure compliance with the Charity Commission regulatory matters and returns. Responsible for completion and submission of annual Gift Aid return. Responsible for the completion and submission of annual Gift Aid return. Responsible for managing a small team of junior finance staff. In conjunction with the Chief Executive, evaluate suitable opportunities for growth and organic developments in accordance with the company’s strategic plan. Preparation of business plans for approval by the trustees. The ideal candidate will be looking to work between 16-24 hours per week and can be managed to suit individual needs. Experience of the sector would be a distinct advantage. It would suit someone with experience working in £5-20m T/O organisations, someone with a robust personality and who feels comfortable advising at a senior management level.
