Graduate / Junior Software Developer - significant support and training provided

£20,000 - £30,000

Tech Stack; JAVA, J2EE, .Net, SQL Server, Oracle

Mathematics, Sciences, Joint Honours, Computer Science grads

We're looking for the brightest of the brightest, a strong coder with a communicative edge, you'll be passionate about software development and enthusiastic about your career, holding a deep understanding in OO design & development, preferably through Python or JAVA

We can offer the opportunity to work on a leading web-based enterprise system. You will be working across the full software development lifecycle to enhance, maintain and carry out unit testing on systems that have been developed on open architecture using the JAVA/J2EE platform, Microsoft.net, SQL Server and Oracle RDBMS. You will work in agile, Scrum teams on a variety of projects for an impressive portfolio of FTSE clients.

You'll push your skills to the limit, build innovative technical solutions, and play your part in our clients growing international operations. It's a big ask, but as part of an expert and established software division, you'll get to learn from smart developers and be provided with full training and support.

Requirements:

To apply for this position you will have:
  • a recent degree (ideally 2.1 or above) in a STEM subject; Computer Science, Maths, Physics etc.
  • a real passion for software development and the ability to write quality code and tackle complex problems in Java or Python.
  • An understanding of databases
  • SQL
  • XML Development


In addition you will be passionate about your own development, have great interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborating with others in agile teams.
