THE ROLE

I am seeking an experienced SENIOR PLANNING ENGINEER to join a new division within a long established large firm in their London office.

You will work on both Construction Management and Design & Build forms of contract for some landmark, iconic high rise projects across the U.K.

Duties are varied and will include:-

Developing and produciting contract and target programs, monitoring and updating progress, including progress reporting using a variety of methods.

Review and critical feedback of their party programmes, identifying and assessing delay for Head Contracts and for Sub Contracts.

Creating and implementing master programs which incorporate the planning requirements of the contract.

Leading planning workshops and meetings with Clients, Sub Contractors and Project Teams.

Working closely with design and construction teams to develop co-ordinated deliverables, methodologies, logistic strategies and phasing plans.

THE CLIENT

My client is a long established large firm of construction and engineering consultants with a new construction company as part of their firm.

They have 100,000 employees worldwide working across a number of sectors.

Their UK Construction Services business line is a relatively new construction company within a larger firm and will offer fantastic landmark projects.

THE CANDIDATE

You must have excellent knowledge of programming software in particular Primavera P6 and ideally Asta Powerproject and MS Project.

Experience of project planning processes and the project life-cycle.

Experience of developing programmes from first principles using detailed quantities and logistical analysis.

Experience of Master programming including the design, procurement, pre-construction, construction and commissioning stages.

You need to have knowledge of the statutory approvals and procurement processes necessary for building and civil engineering design and construction.

Experience of trackers and information required schedules.

Experience of reviewing contractor schedules and schedule risk analysis.

You will need to have a construction related Degree and significant experience in D&B and Construction Management high value projects.

You will need to be chartered e.g. MCIOB, MICE, MRICS or similar. You will also have CSCS and SMSTS qualifications.

Salary is highly negotiable for a top grade Senior Planning Engineer as you will be working on iconic high rise buildings in the U.K. and probably in the region of £65000 to £90000 plus good benefits.
