We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Store Detective to cover regionally in the Essex Area.

As a Store Detective you will visit our major retail high street client’s regional stores and utilise your observation skills to help prevent theft of FMCG. This role is essential in ensuring the resilience of our clients to achieve business success by ensuring client product and profit protection.

The work of the Detective team is crucial in the identification, apprehension and prosecution of criminals who target our client & liaising with the local police in the areas you will be operating, will be key to keep up to date with crime trends in the area.

The Role:

* Observe, deter and arrest those taking part in criminal activity

* Liaise with local police

* Gather evidence and investigate documentation

* Detailed written reports of incidents

* Occasionally attend court to provide evidence

We are looking for people to join our team who have a desire and ambition to be at the leading edge of crime detection in the private security sector. Applicants must have a flexible approach to working (including weekends) and have the ability to maintain a high quality work under pressure. You must be able to demonstrate good organisation and a well-structured approach to the daily.

It is essential that you are licensed and have extensive store detective experience. Unfortunately if you do not have extensive experience within an SD role and you do not hold a door supervisors licence then we will not be able to progress with your application.

In return we offer a competitive pay rate of £11.50 per hour, pension, access to Compass Perk at Work and all travel costs to/from/between sites is reimbursed.

Essential Experience:

* Fully SIA licensed with Door Supervision

* At least 1 years Store Detective experience

* Exceptional observational skills

* The ability to handle sensitive situations

* Confidence to challenge people when necessary

* The ability to use modern surveillance systems, like CCTV and electronic tags

* The ability to make quick decisions

You will remain calm under pressure and react quickly in challenging situations. As no two days at our clients regional stores are the same, you will need to be highly adaptable.

You will also be required to write detailed reports, document investigations, and keep your personal notebook up-to-date. With this in mind, we are looking for candidates with a GCSE or equivalent in English, and strong overall communication skills
