Heirloom are a small independent café situated in Edlesborough village, which prides itself on delivering locally sourced, freshly prepared and innovative dishes. Having been in the coffee industry for 12 years supplying cafés and restaurants throughout and around London with their small batch roasted coffee, they have now opened the first café with the intent of transferring the company ethos of social responsibility and quality products to the café and food environment.
8am - 4pm & 8am - 6pm working hours.
Ideal for a Sous Chef wanting to progress career.
£21.5k a year on a 42 hour work week.
Free meals on shift, 50% discount other times.
They need someone to act as head chef and be responsible for the entire management of the kitchen and food in the café, supervising junior team members to ensure the smooth running of the café and maintaining standards. You should be interested in using the freshest, seasonal and where possible, local ingredients to create new dishes and develop current ones.
Preparation, production & serving of all food.
Innovate & design new dishes/products in collaboration with the owners.
Create a daily menu with a view to making the best of the ingredients & stock available.
Work with FOH Café Manager to ensure efficient ordering, receipt & management of stock, including monthly stock takes, so that the kitchen is adequately & appropriately stocked whilst adhering to profit margins.
