My client are a commercial business in the housing, construction and sustainable resources sectors.

They are looking to recruit a new project account to work alongside another project accountant and work closely with the CFO.

To manage & report long term contracts across the housing & energy sectors for. To include supporting the build up of budgetary costs, managing project costs, interacting with subcontractors, through the project lifecycle & providing regular financial updates. To enhance internal control policies and procedures as the projects evolve.
Internal interaction will be with the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Operational Senior Management and the finance team. External interaction will be with suppliers.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain project related records including contracts & change orders
• Review and approve supplier invoices related to a project
• Maintain funding records & project cash flows
• Create post completion financial reviews for large projects
• Own financial models, developing & enhancing to meet business needs
• Develop reporting framework to routinely share project progress
• Focus on process improvement & system development to demonstrate accountability & ownership of financial models
• Build a database of projects to compare & contrast scenarios for energy & housing solutions to ensure most appropriate model evolves to meet ongoing business needs
• Research technical accounting issues that may impact project deliverables
• Keeping abreast of relevant changes in financial regulations and legislation
• Be the ‘Go To’ person for financial modelling within the business
• Assisting in the formulation of strategic and long term business plans

To be considered for this role you will be a qualified Accountant with Financial Project Management demonstrable experience as well as

• Advanced excel skills
• Provide financial challenge & rigour to process & propose improvements
• Experience of creating management information & reporting
• Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.

Salary up to £50k plus pension, benefits and discounted parking.
