A Purchase Planner is required to join an established and well respected company within the fixings industry with a global presence across 32 countries. Growing three fold year on year, this is an exciting opportunity for a candidate looking to join the company at a key moment to enhance its purchase planning and develop their own strategy with the future potential of heading up a team.

Main Responsibilities:

- Ability to plan and control the production resources
- Forecasting and forward planning/scheduling
- Place orders for materials as and when required ensuring they are keeping within budget.
- Liaising and maintaining a strong relationship with all suppliers
- Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and working closely with the logistic supervisor on a day to day basis.
- Able to communicate ideas/solutions verbally and written
- Review daily outputs to ensure MOQs are adhered to and adjust as and when required.

Person Specification:

- Have at least 2 years experience in purchase planning
- Excellent IT Skills especially Excel
- Ideally have Sage Experience
- Ideally have knowledge on Lean Manufacturing
- Ability to be hands on as and when required
- Be a good team player but also be able to work on their own
- Have clear planning, organisation and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve and think outside the box
- Ideally some experience on Import/Export (Custom Clearance)
