A Marketing Assistant / Social Media Marketing Executive is needed to join an International Centre of Excellence based in Hampton Court Palace! Expect an exciting and varied marketing role distributing social media, contributing to digital campaigns and helping with events and exhibitions.

For over 144 years this leading charity has boasted unrivalled expertise in the techniques of hand embroidery. With a wide variety of events, exhibitions, tours and courses they have truly taken this fascinating, traditional art and made it relevant to today. They are now seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant / Social Media Marketing Executive to join their small passionate team within a truly unique working environment. This role will require promoting the charity's history and traditional skills through to contemporary collaborations with artists and fashion houses.

Joining as the Marketing Assistant / Social Media Marketing Executive you will assist the Marketing Manager with the development and implementation of all marketing activities. On a day to day basis expect to create, develop, schedule and monitor social media activity, research new markets and sectors, create / update content for the website, coordinate email marketing campaigns, assist with the production of marketing materials and anything else necessary to help increase engagement.

To qualify... You should be capable of combining your passion for marketing and social media with a proactive approach, a natural enthusiasm and desire to progress your marketing career. Whether you call yourself a Marketing Assistant, Marketing Executive, Graduate Marketing Exec, Digital Marketing Exec, Social Media Marketing Exec or similar, we don't mind, you just need a CV that demonstrates:

  • Prior experience gained within a marketing environment;
  • The ability to write professional social media content;
  • A broad understanding of digital / social media platforms;
  • First class communication and organisation skills;
  • Solid IT skills (knowledge of Adobe CS - Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro);
  • High attention to detail (no typos!);
  • Flexibility to travel to off site events (from time-to-time);
  • The confidence to meet all types of people at events and exhibitions.

A relevant qualification in marketing is a distinct advantage.
