Reporting to: Financial Controller

Food Republic is now looking to recruit a skilled Credit Controller, as this key role is an essential part of the ongoing success of the business.

Role summary:

The main duties will include, but are not limited to, managing the effective and professional credit control system for the Company. You will be responsible for chasing outstanding invoices to the Company and will play a vital role in the cash flow of the organisation to ensure credit given to the customers is monitored and controlled effectively.

General Responsibilities:

Chasing debit by telephone and email and to reduce debtor days within agreed timescalesEnsure debts are paid in a timely mannerAllocating payments in accordance with customer remittancesProcessing and generating reminder letters monthly and when required by the businessLiaising with the sales and accounts teams to resolve any outstanding queriesDaily and month end reporting and maintain all account reconciliationsInvestigating and resolving any queries relating to non payment if invoicesWorking to strict monthly and annual collections targetsProcessing sample reports when requiredMaintain the Sales ledger and invoices for all deliveriesKeep key partners within the business up-to-date with new credit management techniques, practices and any issuesAdhering to KPIs set out by your line manager [After Probation Period]Any other duties, which may be required of you from the Financial Controller or any other, designated person within the business.Cross train in other Finance Duties to Cover holiday periodsKey Relationships

To work closely with the Financial Controller and Directors to maintain control over the credit and debt of the Company.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

Candidates must be A-Level educated or equivalent

Experience:

Must have previous experience working in a credit controller environment and to be comfortable dealing with high volumes of invoicesKnowledge of general accountancy proceduresKnowledge of relevant accounting systemsProficient in data entryGeneric Skills:

Have a high standard of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detailHave a flexible attitude and ability to perform under pressureA strong team player with a flexible approach and a willingness to learn Good time management skills and organizedAbility to recognize potential risks to the business that should be escalatedAccountancy background preferredAbility to prioritise and multi task in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional mannerAble to meet tight deadlinesExcellent written/spoken communication skillsExcellent organizational and analytical skillsProficient in MS Office suite, such as word, excel and outlook
