Our client is a very well established and growing SME that is looking to recruit an ambitious and driven Group Financial Controller to join their friendly team. Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the role has full responsibility for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the finance function across the group. This is a varied and key role with a wide remit, where the right individual will get to practice all of their skills across many disciplines of finance and where no two days are ever the same!

This role in an important element in the next phase of the businesses development and will play a crucial part in driving the business forward and as such, the role will provide somebody with a lot of exposure across the entirety of the company.

Responsibilities will include;-
* Lead and deliver implementation of integrated software system
* Responsibility for the integrity, accuracy and development of the businesses financial IT systems
* Oversee, manage and lead finance function
* Development of the finance team personnel
* Production of monthly management accounts
* Preparation of year end accounts
* Preparation of monthly reporting information presented to Board of Directors
* Daily focus on cash balances and cash flow management
* Budgeting and Forecasting
* Management of P&L and balance sheet
* Manage relationships with HRMC, auditors, tax advisors, bank, insurance and other external providers
* Business partner commercial teams across the group
* Provide decision support
* Manage and lead annual stock take process across the group
* Become a key confidant in supporting and working closely with the very personable Group Managing Director

Given the nature of the business being an SME, responsibilities of the role will also extend to providing assistance in the areas of;-
* IT, Communication Systems, Human Resources and Legal


If you are keen to be considered for this rewarding and exciting opportunity, then you must;-
* Have at least three years post qualification experience (ACCA or CIMA)
* Possess excellent IT skills
* Be ambitious, driven, hands on and a self starter
