Location: Coventry National Distribution Centre

We're looking for a talented finance analyst to join the logistics finance team based in our Coventry depot. Standing at 320,000 sq ft, with 500 core colleagues and delivering to all depots across the network, Coventry plays a major role in keeping our customers happy. We'll look to you to analyse the depots financial performance and provide insight to inform important decisions making sure the depot runs smoothly. What you'll do:
  • assist the finance manager in building accurate management reports, accounts, budgets and forecasts for the team and wider support centre
  • produce weekly and periodic analysis of the financial performance of the depot
  • provide financial insight to management and help with decision-making
  • deliver against objectives, including weekly planning of own workload
  • develop working relationships across Coventry Depot and the wider sites across the UK
  • analyse large data sets, including critical metrics, costs, productivity and budgets

This role would suit people who have:
  • an AAT qualification, or you're studying towards this accounting qualification
  • previous experience in a similar finance role
  • an analytical background and have experience of providing in-depth insight using large data sets
  • previous experience of monitoring and analysing variances and preparing accounts and budgets, but this isn't essential
  • experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • the ability to adapt to change and work within a fast moving work environment
  • great communication skills and able to build strong relationships with internal colleagues and external business partners at all levels
  • good organisation skills and be able to plan your own work and work to tight deadlines
  • previously worked collaboratively within a team environment
  • a desire to develop your skills and grow your career
