The Access Group makes frequent strategic corporate acquisitions to complement / expand its existing solutions and reporting to the Assistant Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the financial integration of these entities. This is a varied, busy role, supporting the Assistant Group Financial Controller and helping control a rapidly growing company.

About you:

You are an ambitious and motivated individual who is enthusiastic, motivated and passionate with a strong work ethic.
You will have good technical accounting skills as well as Strong IT skills. You will be likely fully qualified or about to be fully qualified ACCA (or similar).

Day-to-day, you will:

• Being a key part of the pre-completion financial operations due-diligence process & reporting thereon
• Aligning acquisitions to Group Insurances, VAT, Fleet and Banking
• Finalisation of completion accounts and cessation taxation matters with incumbent accountants
• Calculate Fair Value adjustments to determine opening balance sheet and goodwill
• Production of management accounts until part of business as usual
• Support the audit requirements of acquired entities as appropriate
• Working with system accountants to integrate processes
• Liquidation of acquired entities once dormant
• Any other duties as required by the Assistant Group Financial Controller

As a well-rounded Assistant Accountant, your Skills and Experiences likely include:

• Previous experience in an accounting position
• Methodical and able to complete work to tight deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Good IT skills
• Good analytical, problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely, effective decisions
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Credible and professional behaviour
• Good communication skills, verbal and non-verbal
• A full driving licence and the flexibility to attend other locations within the UK if required
