Service Delivery Manager
35 hours per week • Fixed term contract to December 2019 Based at Kentish Town, London, with some travel across London and the South East Gingerbread provides expert advice, practical support and campaigns to improve the lives of single parent families. We work with single parents, including teenage parents, who face substantial barriers to entering education, training or work, to help them gain confidence and skills, and become ready to progress into work or further learning. We have been delivering the ‘Building Better Opportunities Working Forward’ project since 2017. As Service Delivery Manager, you’ll be responsible for the successful development, delivery and management, of Gingerbread’s Big Lottery funded ESF Programme ‘Building Better Opportunities’ programme in Kent and Essex, which supports single parents moving into, or towards, further education and/employment. You’ll also have direct management of the ‘Working Forward’ Project Officers who are based in Essex and Kent. Working solely on the ‘Building Better Opportunities’ programme, which is part funded by ESF, you will use your skills to: operationally manage the delivery of training, 1:1 support and caseworks for single parents to support their journey into work; operationally manage the delivery of employment-focused partnership projects and training programmes with and for employers, and with public and voluntary sector organisations; forge and account manage relationships with funders, partners, and other third parties and other Gingerbread teams at the appropriate level to ensure productive joint working; implement appropriate mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating project performance; ensure project and contract targets are achieved to agreed internal and external quality standards by all internal and external delivery partners; be responsible for delivery of programmes on time, in budget and to funder expectations. As our ideal candidate, you will have: substantial experience of successfully managing outcome-based customer focused projects; experience of working with ESF funding or other similar funding; excellent project planning and management skills; the ability to draft, monitor and manage project budgets; experience of monitoring and evaluating projects and using learning to improve quality; experience of successfully leading, managing and developing staff, volunteers and freelancers; Experience of successfully managing partnerships within the private, public, voluntary and welfare to work sectors.
