Are you a passionate and engaging teacher who can motivate and engage a Year 5 class?

An exciting role has become available to join a wonderful Primary School that is known for supporting its staff throughout their teaching career. Looking to start as soon as possible on an ongoing basis.

The role will be made up of the following duties:

Teach pupils in your class according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work.
Assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of assigned pupils and keep such records as are required by the schools systems.
Ensure a high quality learning experience for pupils, which meet internal and external quality standards.
Use a variety of delivery methods appropriate to pupils learning styles and the varying demands of curriculum areas.
Provide a positive, and conductive and safe learning environment, encouraging high standards in punctuality, presentation of work and relationships.
Set high expectations for pupil behaviour and maintain a good standard of discipline through well focused teaching.
Monitor and evaluate learning within the curriculum area in line with the schools monitoring cycle.
Collate and analyse information relating to the standards achieved in the curriculum for presentation to the Leadership Team.
Secure and allocate the resources necessary to deliver the curriculum area within an allocated budget.
Advise and support other members of staff on the content and delivery of the curriculum area.
Identify and secure provision of appropriate inservice professional development in relation to the curriculum area, with the support of the Leadership Team.
Communicate effectively with parents of pupils and with persons or bodies outside the school.
Work as a member of a designated team and contribute positively to effective working relationships within the school.
Play a full part in the life of the school community, and support extra curricular opportunities.
Comply with health and safety policy and undertake risk assessments as appropriate.

The successful applicant will ideally hold the following skills and experiences:

Qualified Teacher Status
Solid, proven experience of teaching
Knowledge of the development stages of children in the Primary Years.
Ability to provide an inspiring and enriched learning experience.
Organised and can fully implement the requirements of the National curriculum.
Able to use a wide range of teaching strategies and styles in order to cater for the diverse individual needs of the children.
Ability to design individual programmes of work to address individual and specific educational needs.
Can motivate, inspire and challenge children and other team members.
To have high expectations and to provide a challenge for all children.
Ability to lead, develop and manage support staff.
