Ready for the recognition and rewards you deserve?
We don't just talk about putting employees first. We know that Priory wouldn't exist without their combined energy, expertise and effort. So we invest heavily in training, provide first-class support, promote collaborative teamwork and give everyone on our team the opportunities and resources to achieve their full potential.

The Walmersley Unit is a 19-bedded unit for patients aged 16+. It is a team-led, inpatient facility providing interdisciplinary team assessment and rehabilitation. The unit facilitates rehabilitation for a range of patients, from low awareness to the more independent. The service is lead by a Consultant physician specialising in Neuro-Rehabilitation.

Robinson House is a 10 bedded male Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit. It caters for individuals with complex psychiatric conditions (often with co-morbid physical health conditions). The service has a full MDT and is led by a Consultant Psychiatrist.

The Specialty Doctor is based at The Priory Highbank Centre. There is no On-Call commitment.

The Specialty Doctor will provide day-to-day medical input on the units under the supervision of the relevant Consultant.

A large component of the duties are around the physical wellbeing of patients. The post is likely to be attractive to someone from a General Medical (or GP background) or someone from a Psychiatry background with experience and interest in aspects of General Medicine.

About us
From education to hospitals, care homes and secure facilities, the Priory Group of Companies offers individually tailored, multidisciplinary treatment programmes for those with complex educational needs or requiring acute, long-term and respite mental healthcare.

This unique approach ensures that every individual has the opportunity to achieve the best possible outcomes and quality of life with the Priory Group.

As 85% of our services are publicly funded and delivered in partnership with commissioners, our teams work with commissioning bodies across the country to provide transparent pricing models and evidence-based care programmes.
