Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a full time Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply teaching support team and work within a specialist SEND classroom in Sunderland. The suitable Teaching Assistant will be available for work 5 days a week and ideally have access to a car.

To be eligible for this position you must hold a CACHE Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.

This position would begin on a supply basis and will have the possibility of securing long term work.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have excellent knowledge of working with children who have a variety of Special Educational Needs and Difficulties. Experience supporting students with Moderate (MLD) to Severe (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) would be preferred.

To be considered for the position of Teaching Assistant you must:

* Be comfortable supporting students with MLD, SLD, PMLD, SEMH and challenging behaviour
* Be comfortable assisting with personal/intimate care
* Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SEND School Staff
* Have a passion for teaching and learning, with a motivation to support students with additional difficulties

* Excellent daily rates paid weekly through PAYE, starting from £61.50 per day

* Full compliance with AWR (Agency Worker Regulations) to make sure you get paid what you deserve
