The role of Business Development Consultant (BDC) is to support the Client relationship manager in the development of new business opportunities and grow the revenue of the Explore Group brands through providing the sales teams with high quality, qualified job vacancies.

Working as part of a growing team to increase opportunities, the BDC is a critical member of the overall business, and is primarily tasked with working under their own esteem with guidance from the CRM and Sales leaders.


POSITION FUNCTION AND OBJECTIVES:

Introduce Explore Group and its brands to new clients we have not worked with the purpose of winning jobs which the business can fill.
Penetrate Explore Groups existing clients, expanding the scope of work we do with them and uncovering new departments or team heads who require staff.
Become an established name in the market by being present at conferences, meetups and client events to expand our portfolio of clients.
Use Networking experience and skills to find new opportunities to pull jobs and win projects for the group
Be the primary escalation point for sales consultant looking to win clients
Think creatively and keep up to date with market trends to build deep networks which can result in new clients and job opportunities.
Work with Senior managers of Explore Group teams to ensure roles are worked properly
Develop large accounts/key relationships for CRM or sales leaders to manage


SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES

Send new introduction or follow up (tailored) emails to specific job leads/clients
Cold call client leads from all Cube19 leads added by sales teams the week before
Arrange/win and attend client meetings, meetups and conferences, targets to be confirmed with CRM
Sign terms of business with clients
Hand over jobs pulled with full job spec and terms agreed to sales consultants
Send CVs on behalf of the sales consultants, where required
Follow up the progress with Client and Sales consultant to ensure clarity and success
Conduct Customer satisfaction and improvement calls, with a view to securing visit/new business.
Read news articles / social media to identify and follow up high growth companies, trends and changes which Explore can capitalise upon.
Identify scaling tech companies as target clients through market research weekly.
Build relationships with Sales consultants to further increase opportunities to grow business.
Report on activity levels, jobs won, deals made v targeted budget to CRM and Director


RESULTS:

Generation of new perm and contract jobs for the business which get filled
Explore Group reach and client bases grows new business comes directly from BDC
Contribute directly to increased turnover for the Group
BDC becomes an expert in the Tech/digital recruitment space Client side
BDC Develops sales skills (phone, face to face, media) with training from Head of People Advertised through Zoek dd037d9c1db545a8b451f5cd3e12ec4e7
