My client who is a main contractor within the ground works and Civils sector is currently looking for an accounts assistant to join their team on a perm basis.

Key duties:

Managing and updating Purchase Ledger and associated filing
Managing and updating Sales Invoicing and Sales Ledger and associated filing
Inputting and filing Timesheets
Cross referencing Timesheets with Sales Invoices
Preparing, inputting and submitting Sub Contractors payroll
Preparing, inputting and submitting Weekly PAYE payroll
Preparing and sending out Sales Invoices
Recording customer satisfaction as marked on the relevant Timesheets
Working with the Contracts Managers who manage our various sites based across the UK
Assist with New Starter administration and undertake some HR Duties when required
Working towards Company Objectives
Working within Company Policies including quality, Environmental and Health and Safety
Undertaking any responsibilities assigned within the Health and Safety Policy and Arrangements
Support our ISO certifications, by maintaining good records and recording information where necessary
From time to time you may be required to undertake other duties as required.

Key skills and competencies:

Good literacy and numeracy skills
Good communication skills, written and oral
Highly organized and the ability to work under pressure
Work accurately and efficiently attention to detail is essential
Working knowledge of Excel and ideally Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll
Ability to learn and use our software programmes that support our operations
Ability to problem solve
