Are you a Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for an October start?

This is a fulltime role situated within the Year 5 class of an Accrington RC Primary School. The successful candidate will be required to support and raise attainment of Year 5 pupils in English and Maths.

The successful candidate will become part of the professional team of staff at this OFSTED graded Good school. The staff work extremely hard to provide the children with a safe, purposeful and positive environment for their education. Therefore, the school is seeking to recruit someone who is willing to work conscientiously each day to help the school achieve these aims.

The 300 pupils are split over 10 classes and as this is a Roman Catholic Primary School there is a strong emphasis on religious links between school, parish and home. The school places great emphasis on the pastoral care of the children and is under the Trusteeship of the Diocese of Salford and is maintained by Lancashire County Council.

This is modern school and class are spacious across several levels. They have access to a range of ICT, PSHE, PE and Humanities resources. SLT ensure that all staff remain up to date with all relevant CPD and take pride in investing in their employees.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who can demonstrate a commitment to the ethos and Roman Catholic faith of the school, whilst being a consistently outstanding classroom practitioner.

You shall have high expectations for behaviour, progress and achievement of all pupils and be willing to be a committed member of our school family. A proven track record of raising attainment in KS2 with Maths and English is essential for this role and will be tested at interview stage.

This is a fulltime role that will be situated within the Year 5 class of 28 mixed ability pupils. The successful candidate will be required to provide 1:1 and small group support to raise pupil attainment in English and Maths. This is a fulltime role and will commence from October 2018 and the working hours are 8.45am until 3.20pm.

The location: The school is located within the BB5 area of Lancashire and is easily accessible from Junction 7 and 8 of the M65. It is a tenminute walk from Accrington town centre and the train station.
