Role Overview


You will work as part of the established Corporate team based in Cambridge which will see you undertaking various Audit assignments – initially with a degree of supervision but with the view of eventually leading larger more complex audit assignments alone. You will also be expected to train and develop a less experienced member of the team whilst managing your own workload. Although predominantly an audit focused role, you will also gain exposure across general Accounts prep.



Principle
Responsibilities:


Client audit assignments: in house preparation and
attendance at client premises
Other senior duties such as finalising accounts,
drafting tax computations and management accounting
Full responsibility for the planning and completion
of audit assignments
Undertaking assigned tasks on client premises to
agreed plan
Control of own assignment time within pre-determined
budget
Professional liaison with client and/or client’s staff
Completion of work to the satisfaction of the
Supervisor/Assistant Manager
Accounts finalisation, file completion and tax
computations
Potential secondment opportunities
Provide support and development to audit assistants





















Person Specification:

Work based competencies


Minimum Part qualified ACA/ACCA, recently qualified
At least 3 years previous practice experience
including audit competence to allow for successful candidate to lead
assignments in due course
A good auditing background can be demonstrated

Training & Development:


Potential secondment opportunities
This position starts at Semi Senior/Senior but we hope
will progress to Senior/Supervisor if the successful candidate provides the
skills, professionalism and maturity to lead assignments and undertake direct
client relations
CPD programme for newly qualified candidates including
compliance and broader technical skills training
Performance reviews every six months
