If you live within commutable distance of Lopen and have previous stock control experience and are looking for a role with more responsibility and progression opportunities then this could be a great chance for something new. My client is looking for an experienced stock controller with goods in experience and a valid Fork Lift Licence.

The key objective of the role is to ensure specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; maintaining an organized warehouse layout and maintaining minimum stock levels for production purposes at all times


Key Responsibilities

Monitoring Goods in and Goods out
Managing predetermined product stock levels with Sage 50
Maintaining and consulting records of purchase orders and goods received to ensure stock booked onto Sage 50 is accurate.
Review Goods dispatched to ensure stock is accurately updated on a timely basis
Work closely with the Production Supervisor and Purchasing Manager to be proactive to ensure that the parts required in manufacture are available to meet the production plans; allocating parts and components
To ensure all goods received meet the expected criteria for quality, quantity and the exact product requirements
Ensure that the goodsin / stores areas are kept clean and clear.
Conducting stock takes


Skills and experience:

Previous warehouse and stock control experience
Thorough understanding of goods in and invoicing paperwork
Have a good mechanical engineering knowledge
Be hardworking, selfmotivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work under pressure.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Sound numerical and investigation skills
Methodical and logical thinking, with strong attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet set deadlines
Ability to work on own initiative, independently and as a team player
Must be able to communicate confidently, both oral and written
Counter balance and/or reach fork lift truck licence
Customer focused approach
Strong supervisory skills

Hours of work are 8.00am 5pm Monday to Friday and the rate of pay is initially £10.00 per hour. The role will start on a temporary contract with the view to becoming permanent after an initial trial basis.
