Technology Teacher Specification

Technology Teacher: We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Technology Teacher. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and Technology and have the ability to pass this on to their students. The school are ideally looking for a teacher who can teach Textiles, Art and Design Technology. This is a part time Technology school teaching position starting in September 2018.

This is a great school which aims to develop all pupils talents and abilities, both academic and social. The OFSTED report notes particularly that it is harmonious and inclusive, referencing its special facilities for the visually impaired. To help pupils to fulfil their potential they are set challenging goals, which they then review regularly in collaboration with staff and parents. The school day is longer than the national average, and pupils work hard both academically and socially, making a positive contribution to their community. The school publicly celebrates the achievements of all its pupils, and there is a special emphasis on literacy, numeracy and citizenship which attracts a high intake. Sport is high on the agenda, along with a unique enrichment programme which offers field trips, museum visits, competitions and residential experiences.

The school is looking for a Technology Teacher who is confident in their ability to engage with and inspire pupils to achieve their best. Candidates must be a fully qualified Technology School Teacher with excellent classroom practices and a love of teaching. You could be asked to teach Resistant Materials, Textiles, Food Technology and Design.
