Electronics Sales Engineer
Our client are a family owned business located in Leeds with more than 125 years of history in engineering. They are a worldwide market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of bulk material handling components with offices on all the continents around the world. They believe in long term commitment to their customers and employees and strive for excellence. The Electronics department is over 30 years old and a key part of the Group business portfolio. The department specialises in development, manufacture and sales of electronic sensors and systems.
What we are looking for:
Following the re-structure of their electronics department and the continuing growth in electronics sales, we are looking to recruit an electronics sales engineer with a BEng/BSc (or equivalent) degree in electronics engineering or other similar subject. The ideal candidate would be willing to learn and eager to progress within the business. This will be a customer facing role and interpersonal skills are very important. Attention to detail is key as you will be responsible for stock control in our main warehouse, which supplies other subsidiaries around the world. A good technical knowledge base is essential as you will be responsible for dealing with customer support both over the phone and via email as well as working directly with customers on site.

Job Purpose: Increase Sales and provide after sale technical support of Electronic Equipment
·University degree in Electronics Engineering or other technical subject
·Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
·Strong command of written and spoken English
·German language knowledge is beneficial, but not essential
·Other languages are welcome
·A minimum of 2 years work experience
·Office based experience is strongly recommended
·Hands-on experience of technical sales in electronics
·Experience or knowledge of the Bulk Material Handling sector is preferred
·Industrial experience is preferred but not essential (working at a factory or on industrial equipment installation projects) All training will be provided.
Geographical Area of Responsibility:
UK and Europe but will be expected to support other subsidiaries worldwide on occasion .
·Technical sales support
·Provide after-sales support via telephone, video conferencing, e-mail, and on-site visits.
·Support other business subsidiaries and distributors
·Deal with daily business operations (sales, quotations, order entry and purchasing)
·Training of sales team and company distributors
·Up-keeping technical documentation including product data sheets and manuals.
·Management of customer accounts
·Interfacing between directors and development team during new product development stages
·Travel and visit industrial and agricultural facilities in the UK and Europe to promote products. Occasional travel to develop business in other continents to support subsidiaries.
·Liaise with internal engineers, customers’ engineers and project leaders regarding engineering specifications
·Present and explain project proposals to customers
·Oversee, direct and monitor projects through to customer receipt
·Confer with the company's engineering and marketing departments on ways to improve products and services based on customer feedback
Salary negotiable depending on experience, circa £25,000 - £40,000
