The Role

Business Development - Working with the external area sales managers to qualify leads and help secure good quality appointments with both existing clients and prospects alike. Following through notes from client visits such as quotations, sourcing, samples etc. Developing business by rigorously following through new opportunities as well as existing clients via the phone ensuring their spend targets are met.

Key Skills required:

- Ability to conduct proactive telephone calls and follow up quotations/opportunities effectively to turn these into orders.
- Good knowledge of MS Office Excel for quotations and other customer data analysis
- Upselling on the phone
- Accountability to Directors.
- Honesty, loyalty and integrity

Main Responsibilities, tasks & duties:

- Working with Area Sales Managers booking good quality appointments with both existing clients and prospects.
- Recording of Rep visit notes and completing any actions assigned to you
- Ensuring customer quotations/sample requests, are actioned within the required time frame.
- Follow up of quotations
- Working on quotation comparisons and matching competitor products to their equivalents.
- Carrying out follow up campaigns on specific products or new product launches.
- Building loyalty with existing custom
