Field Service Engineer
Our client is a leading coffee and vending service provider, and they have a vacancy for a Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering the Basingstoke area.Working as part of the Service Team, the Field Service Engineer will play an integral role in providing first line on site support to customers, providing resolution to non-operational vending machines and coffee machines. This opportunity is mainly but not limited to locations in Basingstoke area, as well as other parts of the M3 and M4 corridors in Hampshire and Berkshire. The Field Service Engineer will be expected to provide excellent customer service, maintaining a positive image of the company at all times.The successful candidate will have experience of electrical/electronic machinery and a technical background. You need to be an excellent communicator. You will need to possess a national certificate in Electrical/Electronic technology or equivalent. Experience in the vending industry is desirable but not always essential. Full training can be provided, and so candidates from the coffee, vending, and gaming industry would be considered.Job ScopeDuring your training period, you will receive one to one training on effectively installing, servicing and maintaining a wide range of vending and coffee machines from manufacturers such as Westomatic, N&W, Evoca, Crane, and Coffetek.ResponsibilitiesCalloutsTo respond to individual callouts issued from the office.Liaise with client on arrival.Investigate reason for callout, diagnose fault and repair where possible.Complete all paperwork following Company procedures.Inform client of work carried out, ensuring client contact final signature.Report into office on completion of each call, providing appropriate service codes and attendance times to close the call.Order replacement parts with the Help Desk as required quoting relevant part numbers.Site SurveyTo complete site surveys following Company procedure.Liaise with client on arrival.Complete all paperwork following Company procedures and ensuring prompt return.Inform client of work carried out, ensuring client contact final signature.Report into office on completion.InstallationTo install machines at clients address following Company procedures.Liaise with client on arrival.Complete all paperwork following Company procedures.Record all opening meter readings of installed machines.Record all closing meter readings of decommissioned machines where applicable.Inform client of work carried out, ensuring client contact final signature.Report into office on completion.General DutiesNotify the Line Manager of any training requirements.Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in a usable condition.Ensure correct uniform is worn at all times and notify the Line Manager of any replacements required.Maintain and monitor levels of spare parts stock held on vehicle.Ensure efficient/effective use of working time.Liaise with other departments when necessary.To immediately report any customer dissatisfaction or potential loss of business to the Operations Manager.Skills RequiredFull UK driving licenseExcellent Communication Skills.Good customer services awareness.Excellent administration skills.Good organisational skills.IT literateIn return the business will offer a generous basic salary of £25,000, plus a company vehicle, pension, and other bonuses and incentives.If you are an experienced Field Service Engineer or a Vending Engineer living in the Basingstoke area, please submit your CV for consideration now.
