One of the world’s most prominent events groups is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to help drive attendance to its market-leading conferences and exhibitions. Your exhibition and conference background will enable you to develop a winning marketing strategy, introduce and integrate a comprehensive range of marketing processes, systems and relevant suppliers, drive the marketing plan and lead a team of two executives to support the development of this growing portfolio.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the analysis, planning and overseeing of roughly 8 event marketing campaigns per year across a niche portfolio shows based in Europe and Asia. A proven track record of developing, maintaining and delivering on marketing strategies with a strong understanding of customer and data insight, market dynamics and requirements is, therefore, vital.

You’ll also work closely with other marketing teams across the department to trial and implement new initiatives and best practice through facilitating collaboration and co-ordination of marketing activities.

What you’ll be doing:

Ensure delivery of all campaign applications on time, to the highest standard and to budget
Create and manage campaign schedules, contributing to the benefit of the entire portfolio
In conjunction with the Event Director and the event teams, identify and develop new business opportunities to maintain/improve competitive position
Provide on-going and post-campaign effectiveness reports and recommend on-going improvements
Develop detailed market knowledge (including competitor landscape) and use this information to drive the growth of the portfolio
Develop integrated marketing communications campaigns for each event, using all aspects of direct response marketing – mailing, email, digital, social media etc.
Coordinate other third-party service providers, including PR, media and distribution agencies
Manage, monitor, maintain and regularly review relationships with key suppliers to ensure highest levels of service are continuously delivered
Develop and maintain systems and processes which enable the team to carry out and report on its activities efficiently and effectively
Provide on-going and post-campaign effectiveness reports and recommend on-going improvements

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven marketing campaign planning experience and track record in driving revenue
Outstanding project management, planning and organisational skills
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills; ability to challenge the status quo and sell ideas persuasively
Marked research and analytical skills
Solid financial management and budgeting skills
Working knowledge of CRM systems

Experience in brand creation and management, strategy and planning
Excellent valuation and measurement of effectiveness

What’s on offer:

Salary of £40,000 - £45,000
