We have an opportunity for a Payroll Team Leader to join the business on a permanent, full time basis with an expectation to work flexibly to meet business demand.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

    Provide leadership and guidance to the Deloittes payroll team Responsibility for delivering the Deloittes payroll service to meet and exceed contract standards in terms of output- both quality and quantity.Day to day planning and organising of team, ensuring workloads managed and deliverables met. Employee leadership – direct line management responsibility for Team Members.Motivate and develop team, performance management of all staff to ensure high achievement recognised and issues resolved, carry out regular 121’s and reviewsStaff development and training Manage and develop client relationship- liaising with key customer points re operational issues Provide “hands on” payroll support.Review existing procedures and work with customer to improve. Participate in projects as and when requiredAssist the Payroll Manager with miscellaneous tasks as and when requiredWork with the wider payroll leadership group towards cross skilling and sharing of resource and knowledge
You must adhere to Data Protection Act requirements and Client confidentiality

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

    Excellent payroll experience – able to demonstrate working on multiple payrolls Knowledge of payroll legislation Staff management experience- able to demonstrate leading a team, planning, delegating and leading Customer service skills- able to liaise at all levels with clients and third parties Motivational skills-able to recognise and encourage high performanceFlexibilityCustomer focused “can do” approach Experience in reviewing procedures and implementing new approaches where suitable Used to managing to strict deadlinesExperience of SAP would be beneficial
