You will be an experienced IT performance assurance or capacity management practitioner, with at least 4 years' experience, preferably in a large corporate environment. You will have proven experience of team leadership as well as the ability to work independently.

You will be highly numerate and able to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences with confidence. Excellent written and spoken English abilities are required. Although initially based at their London office you may also be required to work at customer sites at various locations around the UK and possibly abroad.

About the role

The Senior Consultant will be quickly utilised on customer engagements, most often in a customer facing role as an engagement lead. Examples of engagements include:
- Conducting systems risk management assessment
- Designing performance test plans to address performance risk
- Managing teams of junior staff to deliver performance assurance engagements
- Demand forecasting / planning
- Development of capacity and performance models
- Proactive system monitoring to identify performance risks

On a day to day basis you will be expected to:
- Assist, mentor and train junior staff
- Manage projects to time and budget, with direct interaction with customers
- Identify opportunities for innovation across our services, to improve efficiency or quality
- Build relationships with customers and contribute to our account management objectives
- Interact with our sale processes to identify the optimum solution for new engagements

Qualifications

If you would like to be considered for the role within Capacitas you must have an Upper second class degree or higher in one of the following areas
- Computing
- Sciences
- Engineering
- Mathematics

The following skills and qualifications would be required:
- Advanced performance testing skills using HP LoadRunner or Jmeter;
- Performance test design;
- NFR design;
- Performance test automation skills;
- Capacity planning and modelling skills;
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office software;
- Advanced data analysis capabilities including use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis;
- Advanced understanding of Windows / Unix operating systems

The following skills and qualifications would be advantageous:
- Project management capabilities and associated accreditation
- Proven experience of managing budgets
- ITIL accreditation
