Do you want to work in an exciting company who develop technology for the Civil Aerospace, Defence, Space, Industrial, Medical and Scientific industries? If so this global company who work on some of the highest profile projects such as Eurofighter Typhoon and the CERN large hadron collider are expanding and are keen to recruit an RF Test Engineer.

Duties:
Work for the Production Engineering team providing engineering resources to support production and product development projects.
Provide full product lifecycle from design through to engineering build.
Work across all product ranges within RF Power
Ensure that processes are fit to support operational requirements by maintaining and continually improving target test times and capacity.
Ensure process and equipment capability is continually being developed and improved.
Assist in the development of tools and techniques to support activities in continually improving yield and scrap levels.
Provide guidance to the department in applicable techniques to promote Continuous Improvement and cost and scrap reduction throughout the process within test areas.
Help drive the business to ensure that manufacturable products are designed at target cost and quality
Work with Operations to ensure smooth transition to volume production (NPI)
Support the Operational Excellence programme to improve productivity and reduce costs
Input technical and cost information to the preparation/bid process in order to win business whilst minimising technical risk, project delays and cost overrun.

Experience:
Experience of using RF test equipment such as spectrum/network analysers, signal generators and RF power meters.
Fault finding experience during operational testing.
Previous experience in an engineering function in support of manufacturing.
Experience of recording test results and creation of production of test reports.
Lean manufacturing experience and associated tools.
An understanding of SPC data and calculations.
Problem solving experience (8D, A3, Root Cause Analysis etc.).
