Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading SME Consultancy business based in West Yorkshire, Castleford to recruit a Contract Manager responsible for a variety of operational goods and service contracts.

As a Contact Manager you will have full ownership and accountability of the contracts from supplier sourcing to operational delivery inclusive of internal governance and policy control with stakeholders.

It is essential that you as the applicant have contract management experience the Procurement Manager to develop and mitigate risk with in the supply chain through sound understanding of the performance matrix, clauses and procedures.

• Be commercially responsible for the delivery of a variety of goods and service contracts across the business and it’s locations.
• Drive commercial initiatives for the business.
• Identify and drive operational improvements, cost reduction initiatives, process flow and policy creation.
• Formulate policies, procedures, and strategies to achieve the goals of the business.
• Participates in the development of the annual and long-range budgets.
• Responsible for writing tender specifications, contract schedules service level agreements
• Responsible for the preparation of quotations/tenders, analysis of supplier bids, and award of contracts that set out prices, quality standards, cost-reduction targets, and delivery timescales.
• Manage and control supplier / sub-contractor documentation, data, files and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Consider other factors that add value – i.e. suppliers offer technology and innovation developments to improve existing products to support added value to the company.
• Initiate action plans to identify and mitigate commercial risk/cost of obsolescence and impact to operational plans.
• Represent the business in a professional manner always whilst building and developing excellent working relationships within the business and with its customers/suppliers/subcontractors
• Ensuring that the work is compliant, ethical & best practice
• Prioritise workload according to the severity of the situation to allow successful completion of works within the timescales

Knowledge & Experience

• Experience working with goods and service contracts such as Leasing, FM, cleaning, catering, M&E. Fleet, Insurance, Telephony/Mobiles etc.
• Previous contract management, purchasing / procurement experience.
• Proven skills to develop policy and implement with various stakeholders.
• Have good IT skills including use of excel spreadsheets and powerpoint.
• Have excellent communication skills
