Salary: £23,178 - £24,798 per annum

Fareham College offers brand new state of the art facilities comprising of workshops, teaching classrooms, learning resource centres, restaurants, a theatre, a hair & beauty salon and associated facilities. The successful candidate will be a member of a team of over 300 academic and business support staff. The Employment Services department is looking for a highly organised and resourceful Enterprise & Employability Coordinator to join its vibrant, ambitious team.

Role Purpose

To provide a programme to develop student's employability so that they may succeed in their College study programme, successfully gain and sustain employment and enrich the student experience through a programme of work experience. To promote employability and employer based training schemes (e.g. Traineeships, Apprenticeships) across college and in schools. Promoting a range of employment opportunities in the Employment Hub.


  • Working closely with tutors, Student Services and employers to ensure a pro-active approach to developing employability cross college
  • Co-ordinating and delivering an employability programme cross college
  • Co-ordinating a work experience and work placements programme for all students
  • Liaison with local schools to promote employability, Traineeships and Apprenticeships to year 10 and 11 students
  • Based in the Employment Hub, overseeing the running of it and liaising with curriculum staff to ensure it is covered at all times.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required

The ideal candidate will hold a teaching qualification and will have experience of student support within FE. Good working knowledge of IT tools along with excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
