Company and team:

Listed Plc generating £2.2bn of revenue, £1.7bn of cost of sales and £200m of EBITDA, with net assets of over £1bn. The Finance team has overall responsibility for the accurate management, reporting and forecasting of these numbers, working closely with all aspects of the business to understand the underlying drivers.

Role:

The role is to support the Commercial Finance Manager with financial and commercial planning and analysis, taking a lead role on specific projects. It will involve the production and presentation of accurate, relevant and timely analysis to inform operational and strategic decision making.

Key accountabilities:

  • Supporting the Commercial Finance team with business planning, forecasting and valuation processes
  • Develop a broad network across the business to ensure the Commercial Finance team are fully integrated and aligned with the business (both Finance and non-Finance teams)
  • Operation of the core business model to produce and co-ordinate accurate, relevant and timely short, medium and long-term financial analysis
  • Development of new models and assumptions to support on-going financial and commercial analysis and inform decision making
  • Ownership of specific project appraisal, valuation analysis and scenario assessment processes

Role is paying a competitive salary qualification level depending. Person:

A background of being able to demonstrate a challenging mindset, being keen to learn, have strong Excel skills and be a good fit with the team are much more important than qualifications and technical skills.

That said, ideally you will be newly qualified and either already working in industry or looking to make your first move into industry from practice.

The Commercial Finance Manager is also open to a high calibre part qualified candidate. CIMA, ACCA or ACA backgrounds are all relevant.
