Aurora Resourcing is delighted to offer an appointment with an established residential children’s services provider in Salisbury. Established in the 80’s, my clients provide support to a diverse range of children and young people. They are proud of the positive effect they have on the lives of the children in their care and dedicate themselves to fulfilling the emotional, psychological and complex needs of their children. The growth they have experienced over the years has been extensive; they have a not-for-profit family placement service alongside many residential settings throughout the UK. The children they provide care for are aged 7-16 years with challenging behaviour and EBD and associated needs. They have both boys and girls homes in this area.

As a result of this growth they are opening a new children’s home in Salisbury. This is a very exciting opportunity to join a home in its initial stages and be a part of the growth of the company.

You will be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 NVQ in children & young people and will ideally have experience of working with children or adults within mental health. It is essential that you have current or recent experience within children’s residential services.

For this role you will need:

  • Sound knowledge of Child Protection
  • A minimum of two years experience of working with children with complex needs within a residential setting
  • An understanding of mental health issues and ideally experience of working within mental health care
  • Capable of maintaining high care standards
  • General home management
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Health & Safety knowledge
  • Flexible to shift patterns including sleep-ins
  • Driver preferred with 3 years driving experience

You will work 24 hours shifts on a 3 week rolling rota.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established company which allows opportunity for promotion and a great team environment.

  • £16,000 - £23,000 depending on experience plus a generous sleep-in allowance.
