POSITION: Experienced Business Development Executive (Office & Field Based)

LOCATION: Chester

SALARY: Up to £23,000 pa basic plus commission

HOURS: 8.30 pm to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday

An expanding business, located within the Chester area, are adding to their current team in business develop and with this is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive.

As a new Business Development Executive your prime responsibility will be to target prospective customers, nurture and close opportunities across all sectors. More specifically, you will seek out, identify and establish relationships with SMB prospects by researching and then attending trade shows and networking events. You will then work with colleagues to sell direct to end users through delivering compelling demonstrations of our powerful product suite. This role comes with full product training and offers an excellent career path.

As a Business Developer you will be expected to establish new business opportunities and to be proactive and build your own sales pipeline, and coordinate bespoke mailings with their marketing team:

  • Generate new business via networking, attending events and trade shows.
  • Take client briefs and develop new business proposals/quotes.
  • Use LinkedIn and other business to business networking tools.
  • Research, qualify and follow up leads
  • Complete tenders and business proposals
  • Complete weekly reports.
  • Take responsibility for negotiations with new business and concluding the sale/contract.
  • Achieve new business targets as determined by Director of Business Development.
  • Maintain sales figures to accurately forecast for sold business

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two year’s B2B sales experience, field based sales is desirable but not essential and preferably gained but not limited to selling digital solutions.

Our Client is looking for a new business hunter; you will be a confident closer, driven, proactive and committed to joining a professional and leading organisation. You will have excellent communication skills with a competency in public speaking/presenting, a broad business understanding with the ability to write proposals, high levels of self-motivation and able to captivate at all levels. You will be proficient at delivering online and face to face demonstrations and keen to progress your career.

In Return:

  • Our Client is offering a basic salary up to £23,000 pa DOE, plus an uncapped bonus (first year to exceed £35k) plus executive benefits.
  • Hours of work are from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.
