The role of the Senior Marketing Executive

To work as part of a proactive and creative marketing team to deliver a range of marketing activities with a focus on member engagement. The Engagement Team has a split focus of both maintaining member retention levels and engaging members with our client's range of propositions.

Retention campaigns include communicating the value of membership, ensuring a seamless and relevant experience, influencing the customer journey and incentivised marketing.

For propositions this role will oversee the strategy for marketing our client's products to members - integrating partner products, events / experiences and breaks to create an engaging and valued experience whilst also achieving commercial targets. As well as taking a holistic view of how our client communicates their propositions, this role will also be specifically responsible for partner marketing.

The role will involve working with our client's media channels - website, email, social, magazine, events and DM.

Primary Accountabilities of the Senior Marketing Executive

- Delivery of member retention and engagement strategy. To drive membership retention levels and ensure that members have an excellent experience, remain engaged with the brand and become advocates of membership
- Be an active participant in the campaign planning process - reporting on campaign results, helping to develop an activity planner with a focus on fresh and relevant content and promoting our client's range of propositions. Generate new ideas to trial.
- Work closely with their insight and data team to understand their current members and segmentation profiles and use this to tailor campaigns and maximise engagement.
- Alongside the Marketing Manager, produce and manage the overall propositions marketing strategy in line with company and brand objectives.
- Overall responsibility for ensuring partners are promoted to the membership with targeted communications to members with relevant offers.
- Work with the Partner Account Manager to identify and source new offers to tie in with planned content.
- Be innovative and able to think outside the box to create amazing multi-channel campaigns that sell the value of membership and retain members.
- Manage your own individual projects to ensure that these are delivered on time, on budget and within targets.
- Be responsible for an annual budget - tracking costs in a timely manner, planning activities throughout the year ensuring costs will achieve an expected ROI.
- Management, support and development of a small team of marketing executives.
- To plan, brief and execute key retention campaigns on time and on budget, working with in-house designers and developers or third party agency support, as required
- Ensure that all channels relating to your projects and areas of responsibilities are up to date, regularly reviewed and continuously improved
- Ensure that all campaigns are trackable and regularly report on key metrics such as conversion rates, CTR, open rates and ROI.
- Regularly review marketing plans against response and targets and suggest changes where necessary
- Build key relationships with internal managers and departments to help manage campaigns efficiently and communicate effectively
- Follow approval processes for all marketing campaigns ensuring where required FSA compliance is adhered to within all own marketing activity and obtain sign off accordingly
- Ensure that the our client's identity and brand guidelines are adhered to
- Actively contribute and participate towards personal continued development.
- Read and understand the company health and safety policy and ensure its implementation where appropriate

Requirements of the Senior Marketing Executive

- Graduate qualification, and/or marketing qualification (Certificate or Diploma in marketing)
- Wide range of marketing knowledge and experience that cover the full marketing mix.
- B2C experience is essential as well as knowledge of membership retention strategy
- Product marketing knowledge is key - understand how to sell their proposition to members in an engaging and meaningful way whilst also meeting commercial targets
- Sound knowledge of marketing practices across website, email, print, direct mail, social media and events.
- Confident and credible communicator
- Strong project manager - able to juggle multiple projects delivered on time and to budget with excellent attention to detail
