Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse

Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated mental health nurse to fill full time role in Bury St Edmunds. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of nursing and be registered with the NMC.

The pay rates for this locum mental health nurse job is £23.14 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour for weekday shifts, £30.08 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour for Night and Saturday shifts and £37.02 (LTD Company Equivalent) per hour for Sunday and Bank Holiday shifts. These are initial 3 month contracts.

Responsibilities of the mental health nurse:
- Providing a nursing assessment when appropriate, of referred patients to determine the suitability for forensic mental health nursing intervention
- Ensuring a high standard of nursing in the application of clinical nursing procedures and treatments including custody, storage and administration of medicines
- Assisting the clinical ward manager in the formulation of standards of care, evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of same

Requirements of the mental health nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in mental health nursing
- Current NMC registration
- Significant NHS experience as a mental health nurse
