Project / Contracts Manager (Plumbing, Heating and Mechanical)

£35,000 - £50,000 + Performance Bonus + Pension + Car

Derby, Derbyshire, East Midlands

Our client are looking for someone to service clients based throughout Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, West Mids, Oxfordshire and the Home Counties. You will spend 1 to 2 days in the office (Derby) and the rest of the time with clients.

The Project / Contracts Manager will act on their own initiative but work closely alongside the Contracts Director to deliver professional and consistent time managed solutions from £1K - £1.5M value covering the UK across multiple sites, an autonomous role in which you will drive the company forward by increasing profitability in the sites that you will manage.

*Efficiently contact/project manage multiple sites.

*Efficiently manage teams of engineers across multiple sites.

*Work within budget, organisation of engineers efficiently and good buying skills.

*Form good working relationships with clients and employees.

*Recognise and act upon opportunities that are available or could be available

*Reach monetary quarterly targets

*Carry out pre-contract site surveys

*Value engineer projects

*Produce Risk Assessment / Method Statements / H&S Documentation

*Produce comprehensive O&M (operations and maintenance) manuals

*Work to tight time schedules and site programmes

*Produce management reports on all activities

*Produce time critical cost valuations and invoice promptly each month

*Produce any paperwork / requirements for sub-contracted labour efficiently

*Resolve main contractor, consultant and architect issues

Person Specification:

*Must have a knowledge and experience of commercial, domestic heating, plumbing & mechanical services.

*Must have knowledge/understanding of Health and Safety within the construction industry

*Strong experience and/or knowledge with qualifications in a mechanical background advantageous

*Have an understanding of technical drawings

*Ideally have 5 years experience in a Project Manager role

*Excellent organisational and effective time management skills

*Strong interpersonal skills

*Computer literate with estimating software and/or project costing, Excel, Word and Outlook

*Coordinate efficiently/effectively with all clients

*Full UK driving licence
