Assembly Technician - Tamworth

Salary: GBP 10.50p/h + Overtime + Performance Bonus

Our Client has been at the forefront of test chamber design for many years working with some of the largest players in the Automotive, Aerospace, and Surface Coating industries. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assembly Technician to join the manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:

Control Panel Assembly and Wiring.
Mechanical fitting and assembly of parts, sub-assemblies and finished machine
Plastic Parts manufacture
Finishing and Packaging of finished machines
Wiring of chamber
Improve assembly methods and practices to reduce costs and minimise waste.
Ensure quality work produced to minimise non-conformities.
Picking and packing of Spares Orders
Testing of chambers and parts as required

Essential Criteria:

Experience in undertaking general electro mechanical assembly or finishing operations.
Competence in wiring installations in accordance with best practice standards.
Experience in pneumatic installations in accordance with best practice standards (but training can be given in this area).
Must have experience fitting parts to GRP machine bodies
Use of PC and other devices to download/upload PLC/HMI software and data.
Be able to test machines to internal procedures.
Fork truck Licence would be an advantage but not necessary.
Manual handling ability will be required.
