A market leader in metal forming, supplying across automotive, aerospace, rail and medical are looking to recruit for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join their in house NPI team.

The Role

As Manufacturing Quality Engineer you will be responsible for the smooth introduction of new products into production, including highly complex BIW panels and assemblies used on some of the most aspirational brands within the automotive and rail industries.

Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Quality Engineers position will include:
Reporting to the NPI Program Manager this position is to manage all Quality Engineering aspects of delivering new products into the business in line with customer, TS16949 & AS9100 requirements.
Report weekly project status to project Engineer NPI program Manager.
Design, input and buy off of tools, gauges and checking fixtures.
Develop measurement strategy aligned with customer specifics.
Set up measurement activities in plan - GRR, ISIR and CAP studies.
Analysis of measurement reports and feedback to project and Tooling Engineers for part maturation.
Generating all APQP/PPAP/FAI documentation through to customer PPAP/FAI approval.

The Person

The successful candidate for the Manufacturing Quality Engineers position will have the following experience:
Knowledge and experience of creating APQP, SPC, FMEA, PPAP and control plans.
Experience of panel checking fixtures, gauges used in BIW measurement.
Understanding of customer Product Quality expectations.
Ability to read engineering drawings and ideally experience/knowledge of CAD.
Experience within TS16949/AS9100 environment.
