You will be responsible for the end to end delivery of projects through the use of best practice methodologies. You'll ensure effective control over costs and resourcing enabling the delivery of projects to budget, quality and time. You will manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including third parties and will be responsible for projects that deliver significant performance improvement and Smart integration and enablement for the Metering business.

Key to this role is the ability to manage project risks and issues assessing project criticalities, contingencies and alternative solutions when difficulties arise. You will focus on developing requirements and delivering projects against stretching targets ensuring each project delivers to the business needs. You will report on progress against targets to project sponsors at project boards and other stakeholders highlighting dependencies across multiple projects.

The metering business is at an exciting part of its evolution and as part of the Metering Transformation team you will be responsible for delivering critical projects in this space. Typical business led projects may include: working with customers and Metering stakeholders to develop capabilities to deliver the Smart mandate; implementing process efficiency improvements to reduce business cost base, and integration projects between, for example, Customer Operations and the wider Retail business.

You should be qualified in Prince2 to Practitioner level, be experienced in managing change and have significant experience of managing projects. You will possess a strong understanding of project cost accounting, risk and issue management and should have previous experience of differing system development lifecycles and methodologies.

You should be an accomplished communicator with a customer focused approach. A team player and collaborator in style, you should display excellent influencing skills and attention to detail and be able to provide leadership, focus and direction for the project team. You should also possess an ability to identify key stakeholders and have strong project governance.
