I am recruiting for a financial managment company in Stoke-On-Trent.

Successful applicants will need to be able to plan and prioritise their own workload, produce output to a very high standard; communicate with colleagues and clients in a professional manner and be a good team worker.

To be considered for this position, applicants will need to have:

* Experience of working as a Financial Planning Administrator / Paraplanner within a professional services company, ideally IFA

* Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel (both 2003 and 2010 versions) and Outlook

* Excellent numerical skills

* Excellent grammar, proof reading and letter writing experience

* Good verbal communication skills

* Professional telephone manner

* A commitment to ongoing learning and self development

The successful candidate will ideally have a diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) or will be studying towards obtaining the diploma.

Tasks will include, but are not restricted to the following:

Tax Planning

* Undertake calculations for


* IHT & Estate Planning

* Income Tax

* Bond Rebasing

* Trust Planning

* Assisting client with tax return

* Identify tax planning opportunities

*Product based

*Suitable wrapper for new monies

*Calculate implications of new recommendations

*Ensure allowances are being utilised

* Pension funding / lifetime allowance calculations

* Corporation Tax

Asset Allocation

* Review and compare to the ideals

* Make rebalancing proposals for the adviser to consider

Review Portfolio & Identify sales & purchases

* Annual ISA Contributions

* Annual Pension Contributions

* Bond Reviews / Rebasing

* Create sale & purchase list

* Make recommendations based on tax position Minutes of Meeting

* Attend client meeting and record accurate meeting minutes

* Prepare and Issue follow up meeting letter to client

Suitability Letters

* ISAs

* Bonds

* Unit Trust/OEICs

* Pension Contributions

* Discounted Gift Trust

* Pension Transfers PP to PP

* Annuities

* Life Assurance

* Income Drawdown

Responsibility for File Quality

* Compliance including Fact find information to be up to date

Maintain Client Relationships

* Keep clients informed

* Answer client queries

* Arrange review meetings

Client Reviews
* Analyse portfolio returns

* Write to client with review

* Review / itemise value added (annual review)

* Review profitability

* Fee review

* Compliance eg prepare extracts, client agreement

Maintain Company Standards

* Data Protection

* Anti-Money Laundering

* Answering the phone

* CPD, - Keep record up to date with reading / workshops / seminars / training

* Be involved in ad hoc projects / committees

* Maintain task list of all work

* Utilise and maintain suitable diary system and action where appropriate Teamwork
