Registered Manager (Ofsted)
Our client has a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! They are currently looking for a Registered Manager (Ofsted) to come and join their team. You will join them on a full time, fixed term contract (for 18 months initially) and will receive a competitive salary of £24,500 - £26,500 per annum plus ‘on call’ enhancement. Flexible working arrangements will be considered.
Our client is an independent, community minded charity supporting and advocating for children and adults with learning disabilities, their families and carers. They provide a range of services for children and young adults, which encourage independence, support their education and enable better social integration.
About the Registered Manager (Ofsted) role
You will be responsible for leading and monitoring of their Ofsted registered services which include a respite care facility for children, and their Ofsted registered children’s clubs.
The successful candidate will be joining their organisation at an exciting time and will play a vital role in the development and opening of their new children’s respite facility.
The main responsibilities of the Registered Manager (Ofsted) will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing effective leadership and management for the Ofsted registered services
- Ensuring that the service achieves compliance with its Statement of Purpose
- Leading the team to ensure that the highest levels of care and support are maintained
- Ensuring that the registered services are compliant with Ofsted standards
- Liaising with external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for each child and young person
What they’re looking for in their Registered Manager (Ofsted)
You will need a detailed understanding of disability practice for children and demonstrate the drive to grow and develop their services. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of Ofsted guidelines and will possess a relevant professional qualification. Additionally they will have a QCF Level 5 in Management and Leadership in Care or be willing to work towards this within 6 to 12 months.
The successful applicant will be required to complete weekend work once a month and undertake ‘on call’ duties on a rota basis.
