Up to £40,000 + benefits (negotiable dependent on level of experience)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is looking for an opportunity that offers training and progression.

Our client design, supply, and install waterproofing systems. They have been trusted to design and supply for over 30 years and have experience in a wide range of projects, from very high end residential properties through to the Houses of Parliament and Wembley stadium.

Due to their continued success, the Managing Director is now looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who they can train to become an expert in their waterproofing systems and go on to progress into management role in the near future.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects in the region of £25,000 - £1.5million. You will work closely with the contracts and accounts departments to ensure the smooth running of projects and timely delivery to clients.

Key duties:

- Review the project schedule on multiple projects with project surveyors and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required

- Develop a schedule for project completion with the client that effectively allocates the resources to the activities

- Agree the contractual arrangements with the client’s team.

- Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures

- Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)

- Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures

- Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date

- Invoice and Prepare all applications in time for application dated on every contract.

- Prepare final account for every contract on day of completion.

- Provide accounts department with a work in progress valuation at month end and a valuation for any unused stock on site.

- Keep in regular contact with client project managers

- Monitor work output and quality.

We are looking for Quantity Surveyors that have experience in construction and who have successfully managed multiple projects at one time. You must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable in a client facing role.

We are open to the level of experience of the QS, you may be an Assistant QS who is ready to progress their career. You must have the following key skills:

-Ability to read drawings

-Take offs from drawings

-Understanding of AutoCAD

-Excellent communication skills

-IT literate

The position pays a Competitive basic salary dependent on experience and is based out of the Salisbury HQ, however you may be expected to visit sites across the South and into London.
