Account Handler - Commercial Insurance

Location: Chelmsford

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: Base Salary (depending on skills and experience) plus company benefits and annual bonus

The Role:

Due to our clients continued success and ambitious plans for further growth, We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for an Account Handler to join their small team in Chelmsford.

The Candidate:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in commercial insurance
  • High level of ambition
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer handling skills teamed with a positive approach
  • Desire to achieve results
  • The ability to prioritise workloads
  • The ability to build and retain rapport

Key Responsibilities:

  • The focus of an Account Handler is to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and insurers; working closely and supporting Account Executives to act as the first point of contact for your client base, ensuring renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business are actioned and administered in a timely, efficient and compliant manner.
  • An integral part of the role is the preparation of risk presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums and cover and the creation of accurate reports and summaries for clients.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in a broker or commercial insurance environment is a real advantage
  • Exceptional customer focus with great relationship building skills
  • Knowledge of Acturis
  • Cert CII qualified or prepared to work towards
