Quantity Surveyor-Water Industry: Role

We're looking for a proven Quantity Surveyor with experience held in the Water / Civil Engineering industries.

My client is an extremely fast growing Construction & Maintenance provider in the Water industry. They offer a bespoke service comprising of waterscapes, bank repair & maintenance, lake restoration, creation and fisheries management to a wide variety of commercial, private and local authority clients.

Offering £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, accompanied by company vehicle and benefits package not forgetting to mention outstanding prospects of career progression within a fast-growing company, working on a range of exciting, diverse projects, this is an opportunity you will not want to miss!

Due to expansion, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to their already established team, based in Crewkerne, Somerset. You must have experience in working for the water sector on schemes involving flood defence, commercial & private swimming pools, rivers, streams, reservoirs and ponds. Additionally, a background within the Civil Engineering sector will be highly advantageous.

Quantity Surveyor-Water Construction/Maintenance: Responsibilities

  • Preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required materials
  • On-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work
  • Feasibility studies of client requests
  • Analysing completed work and arranging payment to contractors
  • Allocating upcoming work to contractors
  • Site visits, assessments and projections for future work
