£40,000-£47,000 (DOE) + 15% Bonus + Car

London to Manchester

The Company

My client is a leading global drinks company with a portfolio of over 200 brands and one of the world’s top five consumer products companies

They are looking for a Wholesale Account Manager to cover London to Manchester predominantly, but also national accounts


  • Strong track record of delivering results with major RTM wholesalers on a national level
  • Strong technical skill base - particularly negotiation & selling
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Strong numerical & verbal skills
  • Creative, commercial and hungry to succeed
  • Previous sales experience to Account Manager or Assistant Account Manager level, preferably from an FMCG co, although not essential
  • Flair and confidence to manage relationships with key contacts across numerous levels and across regions
  • people person, very confident and outgoing with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • You will have worked in a similar position within the drinks industry and have a track record of commercial delivery.
  • You will have a full UK driving license and be IT literate, especially excel and PowerPoint
  • Resilient, with a positive mindset and determination
  • Highly-driven and eager to prove yourself, with strong communication and influencing skills
  • passionate about the drinks industry, especially beer.

The Role

  • Proactively build and manage a long-term strategy including all aspects of the customer contact strategy to build strong lasting partnerships with key customers.
  • You will become an expert of the customer’s business in order to identify growth opportunities
  • It is essential that you can build strong relationships both internally and externally in order to get the job done.
  • Communication, flexibility and adaptability are essential
  • Prepared to travel nationally and spend time during evenings to fully understand the customers’ needs and requirements
  • Own relationships with route to market wholesale partners
  • Drive volume and growth across the London region and also on a national level
  • Work to manage the operational relationship with wholesale contacts
  • Develop plans in head office and bring them to life out in the field.
  • You will spend most your time out and about, meeting pub and bar managers, winning new business and developing existing accounts.
