Salary: £18,000-£20,000 Basic - OTE £30k+ (Uncapped)
NJR are currently working with an award winning and highly reputable security and telecoms solutions business. Due to continued growth and a fantastic first quarter of the year, they are now looking to strengthen the sales function with the appointment of a ambitious Business Development Executive.
Unlike some of their competitors within the sector, my client has a continued focus on innovation, bespoke product development and a customer centric approach. The business has grown to become one of the UKs leading supplier in sectors which include: events, rail, public, utilities and housing.
This is a good technical and consultative sell, it is perfect for those wanting to escape aggressive sales - they want to avoid micro management and allow you to manage you and your clients in the way you feel fit.
You will be strategic and consultative; a sales person who enjoys profiling relevant clients and using your initiative and commercial acumen to uncover opportunities (as opposed to calling anyone and everyone in the hope that someone will be interested!).
Responsibilities·To contact companies to establish needs, determine decision maker and present how products and services can support the customers’ needs·To make qualified appointments with the appropriate contacts in organisations for the external sales team·Collate and communicate information gathered during the sales telephone call to the respective field sales person and input onto the company in-house system·To be aware of and develop commercial opportunities for the company at all times.·Actively build and develop relationships with new and existing customers.·In conjunction with the line manager plan and deliver the monthly activity and targets·Plan daily, weekly and monthly tasks to ensure selling time is maximised and activity and revenue targets achieved·To ensure that all business is negotiated on the best possible commercial terms·To complete the administration of the sales function and processes including updating the customer data base·Provide feedback from customers regarding competitors or feedback on our product offering to the line manager/national sales manager.·Any additional duties within the level of competence as requested by the managers or directors of the company
The successful candidate will need to have previous experience working in either a B2C or B2B environment and looking to develop their career in a progressive and entrepreneurial business.
You will have strong commercial acumen with excellent Microsoft and excel skill as well as solid communication and articulation skills and have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
