Purpose of the Job:

  • Assist in development & execution of CRM strategy as defined by digital agency, database agency & CRM Manager
  • Design, test and building of content for email campaigns for both GRG and individual restaurants
  • Assist in development/investigation of new opportunities for email & lifecycle functionality
  • Deliver reporting and insight that accurately assesses the delivery and performance of each campaign.
  • Understand the behaviours and preferences of our guest and use this information to communicate effectively with them throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Managing and implementing email campaign calendar & email testing plan ensuring the timely deployment of emails campaigns
  • Manage the day to day running of a database and develop the database functionality in a way that supports marketing campaign planning, business development activity, delivers more accurate targeting and analysis of results
  • Manage the creation of campaign email briefs
  • Work closely with the marketing team, and relevant stakeholders, to create email campaigns and offline tools with clear campaign objectives and KPIs
Key Accountabilities:
  • Increase in key email metrics - primarily email engagement & conversion.
  • Improving current unsubscribe and bounce rates
  • Design, test and deploy monthly content rich emails both for GRG and individual restaurants
  • Database segmentation and targeting
  • Analysing GA stats and feeding back into marketing planning
Outcome, Results and Key Performance Indicators:
  • Increase in email engagement metrics
  • Increase in conversion
  • Developing email testing plan that will enhance the guest experience and delivery them relevant content.
  • To report on above frequently
  • Develop effective ways both through digital and off-line solutions to increase customer capture and improved information ensuring best practice and awareness of EU and appropriate global legislation around data protection
  • Test and action effective email templates and overlaying key testing objectives to constantly
Dimensions of job:

  • 14 London restaurants and oversee umbrella online presence for a further 17 overseas restaurants
  • Dynamic content creation – visual, animation and written
  • Developing creative content for GRG & London restaurant emails

Knowledge and skills:

  • Email Platform
  • CRM systems –sage and/ or salesforce
  • Google analytics


  • Experience with above platforms is desired
  • Previous digital marketing experience
  • Previous Hospitality / Retail e-commerce experience
  • International experience useful
