UK FINANCE MANAGER to £50,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits

My client is a subsidiary of a large international company. Due to internal promotion a vacancy has arisen for an outstanding Finance Manager to be number 1 in Finance in the UK. My client is well established in their field and the business can offer exciting growth plans for the successful candidate in a busy and fast paced environment. You will come from a manufacturing environment and want the next move up the career ladder.

Job Description

This role will require a sound technical understanding of reporting VAT and taxation and UK statutory requirements. You will be responsible for the management and development of a transactional team of 2 with oversight of their day to day work. You will be required to handle and manage large data sets and present the results back to board in a clear and concise way, giving you a great deal of Senior stakeholder level exposure. Excellent knowledge of multi currency transactions and the ability to deal in varying European currencies. Knowledge of payroll and the HMRC regulations is a must. You will have the ability to perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by the Financial Controller and US Finance Headquarters. To perform and coordinate General Accounting functions across EMEA entities, such as conducting variance analyses on general ledger and miscellaneous accounts, resolving discrepancies, monthly account reconciliation, tax filings (PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax and Deferred Tax), financial and fixed asset schedules, accruals, monthly closings and preparation of month-end and general financial reports.

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • SAP is essential
  • Knowledge of Capex procedures
  • Strong experience in VAT, tax, statutory accounting
  • experienced in working in a fast paced environment, ideally manufacturing
  • Strong communicator with advanced Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP
