Sales Executive / Entertainment Coordinator

Newton Abbot

£20,000 - £24,000 (OTE £32k - £36k)

Due to success my client is looking to expand their team and is looking to hire a permanent Entertainment Coordinator for a sales/client orientated, predominantly office based, role that will see you winning new clients and developing long term business relationship with that organisation.

The company work within the events sector and as such are looking for applicants with an events, or creative, background.

The company have been established for a few years and are very much in a period of growth. The organisation are effectively a consultancy that provide services on a worldwide basis. You will join this busy, professional, and 'fun' team in a role that will see you using your business development skills to increase their client base - and your account management skills to maintain the relationship between the 2 businesses and increase the revenue from each contact.

The role will involve you responding to leads that are generated via the company website and there will also be a need for you to generate your own leads. Some cold calling with the potential of some face to face 'pitching' - the subsequent management of the client will mostly be via the telephone. The role is targeted and therefore you must be comfortable working to targets, with a track record of exceeding expectations.

You will take ownership of the client projects and be responsible for ensuring its successful delivery - this will involve much organisation and liaison with all parties, organising logistics. Naturally there will be some administration, customer service and other duties as required. The role could involve a small amount of travel, UK and potentially overseas.

The role would suit someone with a strong track record in account management/events/sales who enjoyed the chase of new business but also had the softer skills to account manage. The successful applicant must have a stable employment history, have some related sales and/or account management experience and be happy working in a small team in a role that is new business orientated. You must also have good research skills, the ability to pull together tenders and proposals and the IT skills to ensure that this is done timely and accurately.

Must be excited/passionate about events/creative industries. The company is growing quickly which means plenty of opportunity for career advancement and excellent earning potential - the company bonus scheme is very generous.

Basic salary is normally in the region of £20,000-£24,000, depending on experience + bonus (expected at £12k - £16k pa - everyone else in the team is achieving this including 2 relatively new members of the team!) a great working environment and long term prospects.
